Mike Brewner
Owner of Iceberg Home Services and the person behind the advice on this blog. Two decades in HVAC and plumbing, and still the one setting the standard his technicians work to.
About Mike Brewner
Mike Brewner is the owner of Iceberg Home Services. He took on a company working out of a 12 by 12 shed and spent the next two decades building it into one of the largest independently owned HVAC and plumbing companies in Central Florida, now serving homeowners from eight locations across Polk, Orange, Osceola, and Lake counties.
He came up on the sales side of the trade, at kitchen tables, explaining to homeowners which repair buys them years and which one only buys them months. That is where the standards Iceberg runs on came from. Show people the problem before you quote it. Put a repair option next to every replacement. Never let anyone feel cornered in their own home.
Iceberg has stayed independently owned, which matters more than it sounds. There is no outside investor setting targets from another state. The person who set those standards lives in the same counties as the customers and answers for them here.
Mike writes on this blog because the questions homeowners ask his technicians are the same ones they type into a search bar at eleven at night with a system that has stopped. He would rather they get a straight answer from someone accountable for it than a sales pitch from someone who is not.
My vision needs to be big enough that everybody else's goals and dreams can fit in it. My job is just to serve them every day so we can all just win together.
